photography

every day the
possibility of beauty exists.
sometimes, stuck
in traffic,
on holiday,
arriving somewhere early,
you catch a
glimpse:
that lovely
cluster
of flowers
sunlight
filtering through leaves, a striking door.
when
you see a
photograph packed edge to edge
with something vivid, lovely
it’s easy to imagine the reality beyond that frame
was equally
ideal.
just
as, when
walking through a city,
through your normal everyday,
it’s easy to let the
clutter
hide the bits of beauty, the layered stories.
these
pictures
from my recent journey
through spain,
switzerland,
germany,
czech
republic
& england
are captures of
those bits i found
in
the midst of the ordinary.
beyond the frames
of each of these,
is everyday life.
